My view is that if the woman wants the abortion, it means she does not want the life growing inside her. So. if that potential life is born alive that now baby should be treated as a separate entity and protected and saved. The woman has no further say in what happens to that baby. She got her abortion. The baby if it is saved can be adopted to someone who actually want it. There is also a possibility that the father could take that child if he wants it and was against the abortion. Again. The woman got what she wanted so she is not in the picture anymore and has zero say in what happens.

Some actual facts , over the last ten years in qld there have been just over 1000 late term ( over 22 weeks ) in the last 10 years , this is only ever done in severe medical cases where abnormalities occour that could be harmful to the mother , 2 doctors must be in agreement and oversight and regulations are in place to ensure it conforms to the regulations

It's an excellent question, but remember that 4 federal liberal senators voted AGAINST the motion in the Senate which simply sought to guarantee treatment or palliative care for abortion survivors.
