The primary role of government and the elected rep's is to provide security, economic stability, healthcare, education, infrastructure and justice, not to determine or continually debate people's personal identities. Whether someone identifies as transgender has little bearing on the vast majority of public policy. Political energy is better spent addressing issues unless of course you are searching for distraction for a party that in its 30 years has not had one policy costed.

Been watching Malcolm being dissed on Sky News by commentators as a conspiracy theorist, saying Pauline & especially Barnaby struggling to clear up Malcolm's mess. Personally I agree with everything Malcolm has claimed & if he's ditched by ON half their base would leave.

Spread across the approximately 10 million households in Australia, this is about $1 per household to build infrastructure which will help to insulate our personal and goods transport nationwide from the extreme insecurity which exists in liquid fuel supply lines. Sounds like a bloody bargain to me. Even if it’s $10 million per quarter, that’s $4 per household per year. Still a bloody bargain. Everyone benefits from EV adoption, either indirectly due to reduced demand for liquid fuels which ICEV owners need, or directly through better access to charging for EV owners.

We have fuel subsidies for mining We have funding to keep coal fired generators operational We have subsidies to remove household gas appliances We have subsidies for private solar panels and batteries We have a developing EV charging network for boats, cars and trucks being financed by federal funding, state funding, local council funding, and private enterprise. How anyone can add up all the costs and benefits across all power supply systems would be interesting to see and understand, rather than relying upon personal views. The issue with Malcolm Roberts is that he’s dumb. He consistently selects a data point or set of figures to justify his beliefs but he has no real knowledge. The danger of people like Roberts is that can he can spew out lies, misinformation and conspiracy theories with no real consequences.
