This session is with Treasury's Fiscal Group, the division tasked with delivering federal budgets, analysing fiscal policy, and ensuring efficient public spending. The group’s core duties span three main areas: budget production, managing financial arrangements and payments between the Commonwealth and States and Territories, and providing spending advice.
I questioned them on government spending during a crippling cost-of-living crisis.
I asked for a full, transparent breakdown of all net zero policies, grants, and potential "off-the-books" liabilities.
I also requested the total costs since July 2022 of federal agencies duplicating state-run responsibilities in health, education, and the environment.
Coming from a business background, cutting unnecessary duplication and waste is common sense. Instead of keeping taxes high, our focus must be on reigning in expenditure and delivering genuine tax relief for everyday Australians.

I worked with backpackers on farms out west, mostly on grain & Cotton harvesting. I worked with people from the UK, Germany, Israel and other places. The work is out there for Aussies who want to relocate, tractor driving ect. I reckon more single Aussies who having trouble finding work should try farm work, the farmers are usually happy to train people and sometimes have on-farm accomodation

I’m exhausted by this pandering to the worst in us. We so take for granted that despite all the struggles and challenges we face today as a nation, that we are still very much the lucky country. Don’t let people deceive you into thinking otherwise. Yes our migration system can always be improved and further reform is justified, but that’s not what’a happening here. Far from it. This is a race to the bottom driven by racism and fear with Labor, the Coalition and One Nation all trying to outdo one another in the cruelty stakes. There’s no debate or policy changes based on evidence, social cohesion, economics or what’s best for the future of our nation and its people. Instead multicultural communities are being scapegoated, demonised and sacrificed for votes. We are being blamed for the harm caused by the insatiable greed of the billionaire class. And multicultural communities are being racially abused, vilified and attacked on a daily basis because this “debate” has given people license to hate and embolden our worst instincts. We are spoken of only as a deficit despite us being the engine room of this nation.
