MEDIA RELEASE: Unions champion Senator Roberts’ call to ditch mandatory vaccines

Senator Roberts calls for the National Cabinet to reverse its decision to force the COVID vaccine onto aged care workers.

Threats of a staff walk out against the vaccine is gathering momentum as NSW Health Services Union asks Governments to ensure the vaccine is voluntary.

Senator Roberts said, “My office has been flooded with calls and emails from aged care workers and many have said they will walk off the job before the September vaccination deadline.”

Members are approaching the union on a daily basis saying that they will walk out, leading to NSW Health Services Union Secretary Gerard Hayes voicing his concerns that the mandate could lead to ‘a major workforce crisis’ in the aged care sector.

The official advice on vaccines for expecting mothers has also ranged from caution to complete avoidance.

Senator Roberts added, “The government’s track record of inconsistent and confusing advice on the vaccine, which has bypassed Australian testing and gained the TGA’s provisional approval in an absurdly short period of time, it’s no wonder many people in the community are cautious.”

“Forcing people to choose between the mandated vaccine and a job – livelihood – is no way to address people’s concerns,” he said.

The government has provided indemnities to GP’s administering the vaccine and to vaccine manufacturers.

Senator Roberts added, “If aged care employers aren’t willing to give an undertaking that they will compensate employees for any negative vaccine side affects how can any employee have confidence in this mandate?”

“Why should the Government not indemnify employers?”

“I support all Australians accessing their rightful informed consent regarding the vaccine. If we allow Governments to entrench a two-tier system of citizens based on vaccination status through mandatory edicts, this becomes a short path to medical tyranny,” he said.

GOOD ON YOU to these workers and Senator Roberts.
I want all the aged care workers to know we the real Australians are 100% behind them to stand against this. We are not fools and we know that the corrupt ones ones in government have a plan to divide and conquer and slowly pick off one set of people at a time. Well that will not work…we stand together!

Thank you, Malcolm for advocating for people’s right to informed consent and the right to choose.

Thank you Senator Roberts for your support in trying to give ALL Australians their right to informed consent and their right of uncoerced choice back. It has been disgustingly ripped away from us.

As a disability carer that enters Aged Care facilities to provide Social Support, I’m certainly against being forced to have a vaccination that is both unsecurely tested and a trial drug which was never meant for humans. More people have died from having the vaccine than have in fact died from Covid itself. Where is the personal choice. It is disgusting – the constant overwhelming control bestowed upon our country.

Scott Morrison introduced No Jab No Play a few years ago so now children must have the full vaccine schedule to be permitted into day care/ preschool. I have no doubt that he’s got vaccine passports on his ‘to do list’ – mandatory vaccination for aged care workers or any other citizen is unlawful without informed consent. Even in a state of emergency some rights are non- derogable – including “punishment; and freedom from medical or scientific experimentation without consent (art 7)” . Australians are being lied to on every level – this virus is not the killer – lockdowns, financial ruin, isolation and loneliness, harmful experimental injections, the PCR test false positives that drive their decisions and the blatant abuse of our human rights …these are the real issues. Australians need to wake the hell up and smell the rot right under their noses!

I can’t understand why OUR GOVERNMENT is “encouraging” people to have this vaccine when ALL THE USUAL TRIAL PHASES HAVE NOT BEEN COMPLETED ????WHY does our Govt. NOT release the number of DEATH and adverse reactions to the public for risk assessment?

Then once this ludicrous enforcement is tackled….it should be a flow on effect to the general public!
    It goes against our Constitution!

Mandatory Vaccines and Vaccine passport/certificates – PM Scott Morrison hell-bent on implementing the Davos script by pushing Delta lies.
Scott Morrison: “Well these are all the things that we’ll consider in those various step changes, Step two, Step three. We already have vaccine certificates- they already exist. And those vaccine certificates this month we expect to be in a form that can be dropped into Apple Wallets, things of that nature. And later in the year, about October we estimate, we’ll have a vaccination certificate that will be able to be used, internationally recognised.”

Sky reporter: “We don’t mandate vaccines in this country, but you, I believe were social services Minister, when “no jab, no play” came in, which is about as close as you can get to mandating vaccines. So why wouldn’t you take that approach? ”

Scott Morrison: “Well I didn’t say we wouldn’t, I’d say… – My record, as you’ve outlined it is true. So I think, you know where I, I think my record speaks to my disposition on these things, but they’re not things that the Prime Minister ore event the federal government decides. Ultimately, restrictions that have been placed on people moving about in their states can only be imposed by states. The Commonwealth government can’t do that. Only the state governments can place restrictions on people, entering a venue, entering a place of work, things like this.”

“There are also industrial relations issues here that apply as well. ”

“They can apply the public health orders that mandate vaccinations, like the Western Australia Premier has done, in terms of quarantine-based workers. They have those powers, they can implement them. I can provide them with the tools that helps them to implement them, like the digital vaccine certificates, and things of that nature, and they can employ them. That’s why we’ve kept them well up to date with how those mechanisms and those systems are working.”

“The Delta strain is a new challenge and the whole world is wrestling with it. Countries that thought they could open up, within days are shutting down. Now, there are many elements to what builds our resilience, but the difficulty right now is getting the right set of policy tools about how you can deal with outbreaks that occur in Delta. An outbreak under Delta is different to dealing with an outbreak under Alpha.”
