This is insanity. The government shouldn't have agreements with other countries for child support that undermine Australian courts. If this is the case then how can an Australian court have the jurisdiction to issue a court order? This is unacceptable and whoever has brokered the agreements including those who have upheld those agreements with other countries should be held to account for not writing into those agreements the jurisdictional integrity of orders issued by courts. At the very least there should be a judicial tribunal with judges from both countries making enforceable orders for child access and any child support payments. If that cannot be done and courts cannot have jurisdiction - then all child support payments must stop while the child and other parent is overseas. In fact no parent should be allowed to take a child overseas to hold that child as a hostage for parental and financial advantages to either parent.

Child support is a scam. They have an ABN and you don't have to contract with them unless they have a full disclosure of contract with you. Also what you'd find without your knowledge they borrow money on your behalf. And so that's why they hit you with all these repayments it's a scam.
