When decisions were made to open up resources to foreign companies, I highly doubt anyone expected it to continue as long as it has. This man is 100% correct, they should not be given away.

This is not true . Australia does not give away its mined mineral resources . A royalty of 11% on all minerals ( gold , copper coal etc ) sold is paid to State Governments. Queesland received $8 billion in fin year 2024-25 just from coal mined.

"We're" not giving anything away, our socialist politicians are doing that. Besides, I expect they enrich themselves nicely in the doing.
