Yesterday the ABC berated Peter Dutton for talking about the abuse of children in the Northern Territory and claimed he had no evidence to prove his claim.

If the ABC had done their job (a bit of research) and looked at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare statistics they would have found the data that shows the NT is 5x worse than any other state.

This is exactly what the voice will be. Belittling and silencing anyone who raises the real issues remote and aboriginal Australians are facing.

Ahh, the ABC either lies by omission or distortion by denying any sense of objective reality. Then again that is post-modernism for you. When the conservative side of politics gets some power please decomission the ABC.

      Glen and other Folks,

I watched the interview with Peter Dutton re the “indigenous kids” in the NT.

My Compact Oxford dictionary (2002) defines
      berate as to
      “scold or criticise angrily”.

In my opinion Peter was not berated at all.
The ABC journalist asked if he was aware of the abuse, had he reported it to the NT Police.

In truth, Peter’s reply was close to berating the journalist.

Has Peter reported the alleged abuse to the NT Police as asked?

      Cheers,
      Col

      Folks. A further addition.

The lead article only introduces one perspective on the issue.

As written the limited article is at least third hand, the initial report, the interpretation by the news readers and finally Malcolm’s or his staff member’s view.

There may be other viewpoints on the same incident.
May I suggest the following website for another viewpoint. (Posted 16 Apr 2023 at 8:04 am)

      https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-04-16/claims-dutton-using-child-sexual-abuse-as-political-football/102218290

Caution, if you refuse to read this article because of its connection to the ABC you have allowed ignorance to rule.

      Cheers,
      Col

Non mainstream outlets offer the truth and fortunately are reliable sources for accurate info .Wake up ,COVID should have been your awakening and if it wasn,t then some deep critical thinking is required. As is the case every time the minority is ALWAYS RIGHT and this has been proven to be the case AGAIN,and AGAIN and AGAIN !!

I am not a Liberal Party supporter but for a long time both major players were singing the same song. The ones who had enough power to resist destruction of democracy joined forces to strip us from our rights. The data was there. There is a lot more now. and still the few, who have the courage to talk about it are being ferociously attacked. And the media (ABC included) have been doing all they can to save Australians from being exposed to alternative views and data contradicting official narratives. Have they reported on Switzerland terminating the “Safe & Effective” vaccination program for all age groups? I doubt it.
We are about to celebrate the memory of the people who sacrificed their lives defending our freedom. The freedom we willingly gave away to the so called authorities. The history knows many cases of unquestionable authorities ruling the countries. None of them ended well for their citizens and yet we haven’t learned anything.
The alarm bell is ringing louder and louder. If we do not wake up from the spell we may become just another nation governed by unquestionable authorities.

EXACTLY what all parties have been trying to for a very, very long time!!!!!. BRING the ABC down!- which they have achieved and now your asking for what was a bastion for TRUE journalist’s to be removed.

Check where taxpayers monies have been wasted!! and work to close those down.

READ KANGAROO COURT – independent journalist; Shane Dowling, There are lists there that can point you in the right direction.

Are you a WEF member? a very, very serious question..

Am I to understand you do not think journalistic TRUTH is important?

Imagine a situation where private ownership was in control of all news without any checks and balances. Not to mention the excessive quantity of highly questionable advertisements in the quest for material gain.

The ABC must be retained, fully funded and improved.

Appalled by the ongoing football the indigenous question is becoming. No matter what possible solution is introduced it’s a damned if you do and a damned if you don’t. Restrict access to alcohol, and you are taking away someone’s rights or equality…alcoholism is rife in many communities, and yes there are underlying causes which should be addressed…lack of jobs or projects that promote independence within the communities…BUT those suffering REAL inequality are the kids, the total victims of the situation. If you think about the abhorrent subject of sexual abuse within the community, think about the fact the figures represent KNOWN cases…not ACTUAL instances. Go back and look at Mal Brough’s reports that were too hideous to disclose…the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases in small children. NONE of this is going to be resolved by putting an Indigenous ‘recognition’ on the constitution. This is endemic, will not go away, and will not be fixed by creating another dirth of costly COMMITTEES to oversee the problem!

Once again, the Aboriginal people being used for political purposes and a distraction.

ALL preceding n<Governments' continually make a mess in these inoffensive peoples lives.

Fix from the bottom up all the messes made by Politicians before any more Referendums, <legislation etc – not needed as its not going to change mindsets of pollie public servants' and some of the representatives of the Aboriginal people who are not conversant with the practicalities involved.

HAVE people of integrity talk and -SPEAK with the people on the ground – then make transparent the whole issue not another bloody referendum wasting the Taxpayers money once again.

MSM now are absolutely useless at getting anything correct both deliberately and from incompetence. I choose NOT to watch and believe anything MSM say or act on. Their agenda has a Sinister path and they deliberately fail to report what should be reported because it doesn’t fit the narrative of their Masters. My opinion…now a very useless Industry but a good tool for Propaganda peddlers. Even the Ads they Peddle are deceiving….and we think the Internet’s a problem…huh.

Why is it that the perpetrators of these crimes are not identified as either aboriginal or not aboriginal?
Have we been brainwashed to believe that aboriginal people are exempt from judgement and their sins are a result of white man invasion?
This country cannot move forward until we understand and accept the implications of time and place.
I’m sick of recognizing some aboriginal tribe everywhere I turn.
I had parents and grandparents and great grandparents etc. I, also have a history and a family lineage and a heritage just like the aboriginal people. Why should I adopt this socialist lie that I am to blame for an event or events that took place 200 plus years ago.
Life is a battle for every soul and we either fight or fall. Let’s all fight together rather than divide and fall.
