I absolutely agree that Australia should rebuild its manufacturing base. Sadly, though, One Nation’s voting record tells a different story. It’s one thing to advocate for manufacturing on social media, but when it comes to voting in Parliament, your party too often goes missing. To build a strong manufacturing sector you need cheap energy and cheap labour or lots of automation. To start with, we need cheap gas - gas producers need to be brought into line to provide cheap gas to Australia. For electricity, we can forget nuclear if we want cheap energy.

Maybe Gina could invest in solar panel manufacturing.

They may pay a few % more for Australian Made, but even that is doubtful. Let's create an industry around a product people want and one we can be competitive with.
