Senator Malcolm Roberts met with Julian’s father, Mr John Shipton, and his brother, Mr Gabriel Shipton in Parliament at the last sitting.

They met in Parliament at a meeting attended by Members of the House and Senators with their staff and members of Julian’s supportive campaign team.

Those attending were brought up to date with Julian’s situation. Julian Assange is an Australian citizen.  He is currently in Belmarsh Prison in England, a High Security Prison. He has not been convicted of any offence.

He is currently set to be deported to the United States to face espionage charges related to the release of documents through Wikileaks.

His legal team are appealing the most recent British decision to deport him.

His family have implored the Albanese government to intervene on his behalf and have the deportation decision rescinded. His family want to Bring Julian Assange home.

Senator Roberts supports bringing Julian Assange home.

I just don’t understand how someone can be held in prison for any length of time when they have not been convicted of any crime. They either have evidence to enable a charge to be made, then be taken to trial and a jury decides if they’re innocent or guilty.🤷 Years in prison with no charge or trial is surely against human rights, or is that only when it happens in China, that we can all get “self righteous”???🤔🤔🤔

I totally agree Heather, it’s outrageous and such a waste of life for Julian and his family. My heart goes out to them and I’m praying something will change with his circumstances whether it be a trial or release. But at the very least that he be sent home where his family can visit him with more regularity and ease.
Thanks Malcolm for highlighting his cause!

Australia must bring this man home. Julian is a hero who had the guts to expose the wicked and their evil deeds. In my eyes that makes him a hero.

Bring Assange home, I thought that when Albanese became pm he would get Assange brought back to Australia, I hope this is the case.

We must stand against the corruption in the world – they have gotten away with it because we weren’t aware. But thanks to people like Malcolm we are aware now and must stand strong against every corrupt thing until righteousness rules again. God is waiting to rain down His blessings upon us as we do so

Without Prejudice: Publicly printing evidence of corruption or high treason committed by politicians in any location could not be classified as alleged by guilty country “espionage” or anything else. Noted as being practically useless elected members from “duopoly” for over 30 years could never be trusted and in many cases should be brought to trial for high treason or being under the influence of foreign powers. Should any decent political party be willing to start a public campaign to release Julian Assange, I would be happy to discuss use of my fully registered in Australia & UK trade mark FaQ2 for use on apparel (eg. T-Shirts with added demands for freedom to Julian).

This is the GREATEST MIS CARRIAGE OF Justice the world has ever seen.. I am so outraged that l would have every American citizen in Australia jailed for the same 15 years solitary confinement.. We haven’t learned from history Breaker Morant.. The British and US are not our friends they do not act for our best interest they work for their own gains and manipulate our politicians to rape pillage and plunder our country.. Jail every US citizen or bring jullian home NOW

I recommend EVERYONE/EVERY SUPPORTER OF JULIAN ASSANGE read the recent publication… THE TRIAL OF JULIAN ASSANGE written by Nils Melzer.
Only then, WILL YOU TRULY KNOW the REAL STORY behind Julian Assange, & why he’ll never been released from his “life of TORTURE!”

Bring him home to Australia to serve “his time” you all say!”
His time FOR WHAT? Being a journalist!

If Anthony Albanese does not release ASSANGE immediately, he will prove to be NO BETTER than EVERY OTHER Politician/Power Wheeler on this planet, who are ALL guilty; knowingly so, & ALL equally responsible for the TORTURE THEY’VE thrusted upon; and still do on a DAILY BASIS, of Assange!

These powerful minority are, in my opinion, & that of many human beings I believe, are not human beings as we majority understand the WORDS….HUMAN BEINGS!
There is absolutely NOTHING HUMAN about them, as beings couldn’t live on this planet knowingly inflicted TORTURE on even an animal let alone one of their own!

We need a MASSIVE UPRISING to eradicate
these STATUES OF STONE, that draw breath simply from the liquid GOLD pumped through their vein of opulence!

I thought the newly-elected PM was a signatory in support of bringing Julian Assange home. Is he now reneging on his support? What about the quiet diplomacy excuse we’ve heard? Is that just a bunch of baloney to keep Julian Assange’s supporters quiet? Like previous comments, I don’t understand how a person can be imprisoned indefinitely without charge.

In his recent book « the trial of Julian Assange » author, Nils Melzer, the former UN special Rapporteur on Torture explains « The reason i wrote this book is that it’s importance extends beyond JA, it reveals a generalised systemic failure gravely undermining the integrity of our institutions, our fundamental rights and the rule of law generally.

Ultimately It’s not just about Assange, it’s about the integrity of our institutions and at stake is nothing less than the future of our democracy.
It’s wake up call to the public to open our eyes, face the truth, take personal and political responsibility.

I do not intend to leave to our children a world where telling the truth has become a crime.”

Julian Assange is one of our Australian heros, shame on the political system for not treating him as such but instead giving in the our “overlords” the USA.
