As this summer shapes up to be dangerous (just like every other bushfire season for decades has been dangerous) the real threat are the pretend greenies that have stopped us doing reduction burns.
Any home lost to a bushfire is the fault of people that stopped reduction burns and has nothing to do with “climate change”.

Has anyone got hold of a few climate change activists and taken them into a bushfire ravaged area to show the impact of not doing controlled burns. If not they need to be shown first hand the results
In our area of the hawkesbury there hasn’t been enough burning off as most of the council are idiotic greens so when we get bad fires they just scream climate when it’s actually just normal Australian
weather and most of the weather people make worse with all there dramatics it was a lot hotter when I was growing up late 40s,50s,60s and we didn’t have AC and insulated homes. Very hard to find honest reporting today.

Through Green initiatives many thousands of Hectares have seen mass planting of Eucalyptus trees in providing a potential Koala Habitat. These areas will pose a threat to housing estates & impose restrictions to Local planning allowances. This is a flawed process reducing the potential for future housing stock through enforced Green Tape. Australia has massive areas of arid & poorly natured space. Why not create environment where little exist instead of doubling up where eventual failure will threaten lives. Eucalypts do not provide great value but do create a threat for uncontrollable bushfire. Do not blame the climate on manmade narrow minded Government initiates. These areas create conservation zones restricting pet ownership & farming frameworks that require broad based initiative like working dogs or detached dual or multiple occupancies. Green initiaves often fail the future proofing of viable farming spaces.
Most “bushfires” are caused by arson with most of the remainder caused by lightening. Crack down on arsonists and many catastrophic bushfires would disappear.
Totally agree. I grew up on a farm and after putting the crop in , there would be a tidy up. Burning rubbish , creating a fire break all around each paddock on the farm.
But! But! ‘The Climate Council’ says that bushfires are caused by climate change caused by ‘carbon pollution’ ‘greenhouse gases’ – so there! (And they are ‘scientific experts’ – so there again!)

I’ve heard that greenies are lighting fires so that they can say it’s climate change . Hot weather has always been during summer , cold during winter , it’s common sense . Protesting in the street won’t change it nor will anything we do . It’s a fact of life !

I totally agree. There has been a huge reduction in sound management, which leaves areas in total mess primed for out of control fires. Leaving pieces of rotting timber in the bush ‘so termites have enough food’ (yes that is why you can’t pick up firewood in some places) is ludicrous! Bring back common sense and good management!
