Anthony Albanese Lies to the Australian People

Anthony Albanese has lied to the Australian people — it’s important to point that out.

The conversation around Stage 3 tax cuts is a smoke screen that only fiddles around the edges.

Since 2020, the rate of taxes Australians are paying has gone up by 20%. Anthony Albanese will only give Australians $20 a week back.

Here’s a thought PM – if you’re genuine about Australians paying lower taxes, why don’t you index the thresholds so Australians don’t pay more tax just because of inflation?

    We are billions of dollars in debt with no way out. Plus we would have to be the most taxed country in the world. Govt has no plan to reduce this debt just digging the pit deeper. Govt has been selling the country out for decades. The Albanese govt is just so much more inept at hiding the lies. Without a truly independent, patriotic govt there will never be any change to our current situation. We are a land of resources yet our debt far surpasses our assets due to inept govt over decades. Yes, One Nation can speak out all it likes but it cannot resolve any of our issues as it will never have the numbers to form govt unless they develop a coalition with other like minded parties to do so.

    That is a good logical solution. I just want to make 3 points:
    – It’s the lower paid workers and families that have less ability to cover increased interest rates and food costs. People on higher incomes do not have to skimp and save to pay the bills.
    – Why doesn’t a Government split the taxable income between a couple. Perhaps this might allow some carers to look after their children, instead of faming them out to childcare
    – I feel all Governments, both Labour and Liberal, tend to mislead (lie?) to people so it puts them in a better light to get elected

    Albanese is a liar, his tax break is a short term sugar hit, it is the bracket creep that he should have reformed – but Albanese knows there will be a lot more revenue coming from bracket creep – so he throws a carrot out there for the plebs.
