There’s a rather large difference between asking an accusatory question at Senate Estimates and proving the accusation contained in the question. Yes, AHPRA confirmed that it is a member of Pride in Diversity, an ACON workplace inclusion program, and participates in the Australian Workplace Equality Index. Yes, when Malcolm Roberts asked whether AHPRA had undertaken a formal assessment of whether that membership created an actual or perceived conflict of interest, AHPRA said it had not. But AHPRA did not admit that it was biased, ideologically captured or politically compromised. In fact, its CEO explicitly said he was confident the membership did not create a conflict and explained that regulatory decisions are governed by legislation and professional codes, made through independently appointed professional boards, and are subject to external review. The same sleight of hand occurs with the psychosis question. Roberts asked whether individual AHPRA caseworkers could distinguish a psychoanalytic use of "psychosis" from a psychotic disorder. AHPRA took the question on notice. "I'll take that on notice" is not an admission that caseworkers are incompetent, let alone that they are "weaponising ignorance." And the claim that AHPRA "basically admitted they have no defence" for doctors' legal costs is simply not what happened. Roberts asked about the cost of going to court, his allotted questioning time expired, and no such admission was made. So strip away phrases such as "radical ideological", "weaponising ignorance", "politicised", "bureaucratic overreach" and "progressive inclusion agendas", and what are we actually left with? Roberts asked a series of questions. Some were answered. Some were taken on notice. He then took his own accusations embedded in those questions and presented them as though the hearing had established them as facts. It didn't. An accusation followed by "I'll take that on notice" is not evidence that the accusation is true.

The reason they take out CTO constantly is to keep the drug psychosis active so they can claim a life style of financial revenue .I've sent AHPRA emails stating our case and the medication got higher and the CTO were organised as one ran out. I have proof of malpractice manipulation and abuse of power so Iam quiet happy to take our case to court.

some of these evasions of parliamentary inquiry are contemptuous. It's time for the estimates to use their powers to get answers. Public servants and ministers need to be referred to the Senate for contempt. It is time to stop the bureaucracy from thinking they can do what they like. Senate estimates has power. It just isn't using it.

As a doctor I can report 2 of the colleagues in my surgery left medicine after vexacious claims and ahpra drawn out investigations. 2 very good clinicians. Now patients wait days to weeks for appointments. Infants with temperatures can't get in unless we triple book which is extremely dangerous. Local urgent care centre often has a 4 hour wait or more. And usually the patient is told to see their GP the next day. This is the same advice given by nurse navigators, 1300 Medicare, hospital in the home, the local mental health service, headspace etc etc. See your own GP for follow up. Thanks to the intimidation by the regulator, you may not have a GP for much longer. And considering we see 90 % of the patients whilst absorbing 7 % of the health budget, that's going to be a catastrophic result for the patient
