I believe we have excellent oil reserves in the bass straight and elsewhere that we don't tap into, would one nation consider drilling and creating our own supply, even becoming an exporter instead of an importer. If my understanding is correct?

If we want we can extract and export more oil and get out of debt. But oil use for Australians should have at least started. 1.5% of people have electric cars.
