MALCOLM ROBERTS
Senator for Queensland with One Nation
With a long history of seeking the truth, Malcolm believes Parliament needs to return to the facts to get back on track. Malcolm’s areas of focus include:
Building dams and water infrastructure such as the Hybrid-Bradfield Scheme and exposing mismanagement of the Murray Darling Basin.
Reducing electricity prices, increasing the supply of reliable energy and ending the government obsession with renewables.
Ending the control of unelected bureaucrats over Australia’s way of life, exiting the United Nations and restoring our sovereignty.
Opposing full foreign ownership of Australian land and forcing multinational companies to pay their fair share of tax.
Want to know what Malcolm thinks about something? See if you can find it by searching here
“The decades of Government inaction on issues in the, ‘too hard’ basket is killing our country. We’re not afraid to listen and take up the things affecting Australians everyday.”

With a strong background in engineering, mining and business leadership, Malcolm brings a real world perspective to Parliament that the ranks of major party lawyers and former union bosses miss.
He has led the operational development of Australia’s largest and most complex underground coal project, setting many new industry firsts.
After being disqualified along with 14 others from sitting in Parliament in the 2017-18 eligibility crisis, Malcolm campaigned for election again in 2019 where he was successful with a huge increase in vote.

Electricity Price rises in every country with solar & wind ... See MoreSee Less
Are you saying that they fall or stay steady in every country that doesn't have wind or solar?
Seems many people need to touch the seat despite the sign “wet paint”
You know what's funny back in the 80s the Electricity was so cheap and reliable from the Coal power stations that the people still could pay 19% on their mortgage and Live
Can we not take advantage of natural light and power sources? Why is electricity more expensive when renewables are propping up supply?
Once we get there and it’s all set up it’ll be well worth the expenditure that’s the bit You don’t understand. You have no plans for the future.
My renewables including the trees that regenerate and also create the OXYGEN WE NEED FROM THAT NASTY CO2 AND SUNLIGHT STRANGLY ENOUGH CO2/TREES/ SUNLIGHT ARE BEING LOWERED BY MAN and THATS A GOOD THING PHOTOSYNTHESIS NEEDS ALL 3 OF THE ELEMENTS THEY ARE TRYING TO LOWER TO PRODUCE THE OXYGEN EVERY LIVING BREATHING CREATURE REQUIRES TO LIVE Something to think about
That’s why they are giving solar away for free. You don’t see that with gas and coal.
That headline says the grid rebuild has costs. It doesn’t say wind and solar make electricity expensive in every country. Nice try though.
$275…..so far only missed by $22,999,999,725…changed position.
When Malcolm Roberts said "expensive wind" I imagine he was referring to what it's like getting stuck in an elevator with him
Net zero is a con
This is the last 12 months avg price for different energy sources. Nothing cheaper about coal, not to mention its a slow response, large single point failure generator from a 100y old technology
WAKE UP.
WE HAD CHEAP COAL FIRED ELECTRICITY IN THE 2000s. ITS NOT COAL THATS EXPENSIVE. THE GOVERNMENT ARE STILL PAYING BILLIONS IN SUBSIDIES TO CHINA FOR RENEWABLE CRAP. WAKE UP.
Presenting a deliberate policy choice as an inevitability is a classic propaganda technique.
The biggest price rises in electricity happened in Australia when we went from state owned plants and equipment to private operators and deregulation.
Lol CSIRO report actually says the cheapest source of Energy are Solar and Wind! Only Malcolm (use leeches in hospitals) can not figure this out lol.
Taxed into poverty....
This is a classic piece of anti-renewables framing. It takes a legitimate warning about the capital costs of a massive infrastructure rebuild and twists it to make dying, unreliable coal look like an economic savior.
Pretty happy without a power bill thanks 🙂
Don’t forget the constant blackouts.
We are victims of our governments hypocrisy. Its fine for other nations to buy coal from us and use it to generate affordable energy but we cant use it ourselves because government thinks australia hitting net zero will save the planet.
!!!Cheap slogans are not energy policy. If the argument is that the transition is being badly managed, fine — make that case. But pretending we can avoid the transition altogether is not realism. It is just delaying the bill.!!! --- This feels like a pretty selective reading of the article. The article is not proof that “electricity price rises in every country with solar and wind”. It is talking about the cost of rebuilding Australia’s grid as ageing coal plants retire. That is a very different point. From what I’ve read, the report says generation costs are expected to fall in the next few years because of lower battery, solar and wind costs, then rise later as old coal assets are fully replaced. So the real issue is not simply “renewables make power expensive”. The issue is that our current system has old coal infrastructure helping keep costs artificially low, but that infrastructure cannot run forever. Climate change aside, we still have finite resources, ageing assets and an energy system that will need to be rebuilt at some point. The question is not whether we transition. The question is whether we do it early, intelligently and fairly, or leave a bigger, more chaotic bill for the next generation. Yes, there may be periods of sacrifice and adjustment. But what generation has not had to make sacrifices for the future of their children? What makes us so special that we should expect the benefits of cheap legacy infrastructure while pushing the cost, risk and disruption onto those who come after us? Argue the detail, absolutely. Argue the pace, the fairness, the cost, the planning, the impact on households and business. But “solar and wind make prices rise everywhere” is not a serious summary of what this article is actually saying.
1 in 5!!!
In the nation that is the world’s largest exporter of Hydrocarbons (coal, gas)
And a big exporter of Uranium
Selling to other nations the fuels for affordable electricity while stopping their use here
Under the Liberal-Labor Uniparty Australia has gone from the lowest power prices to among the highest
And the transition started under Howard LNP government
Betrayal. Insanity. Deceit
Only One Nation will restore electricity affordability
One Nation says 1 in 5 is a disgrace

They are wasting Tax dollars which they don't have (borrowed) on so called Green Energy which also has a Carbon Footprint and poor returns for the investment and won't use Coal but Exported 80 million tonnes to China last year...Is China on another planet?
More solar on people’s houses, more home batteries, help with electrifying and a gas retention policy as a backup. Gas export tax would help too as it will encourage more gas sales at home. These will give quick wins. No more money to keep aging coal plants running - money down the drain. No nuclear, takes too long, costs too much
Maybe it's a privatisation thing Mal
Still waiting for cheaper power no wait they changed positions for cheaper power

But renewables are the cheapest form of energy
7x2=🚲 according to Malcolm Roberts. This is why Australia needs to keep investing in cheaper and reliable renewable energy to put downward pressure on bills and protect the country from global energy shocks. It also helps to combat climate change. Fossil fuels are expensive and unreliable. The world is moving on.
$275.
It's true, this woefully bad Albanese led Labor government is happily destroying our way of life.
Take your Glasses off and go to Specsavers so you can see what's going on in Australia.
The Liberal/Liebor Uniparty care more about the net zero scam than your cost-of-living crisis. 🤷♀️
Imagine how cheap it’ll be when you don’t need to dig fuel out of the ground to get it.
1 in 5 should get a 2nd job then
They don't care. So one eyed on renewable energy
But relative to wages how much have they gone up? My comparison is from 1990 to today my electricity has gone up 0.27%

☪️ Islam is the religion of all humanity, a religion of peace and mercy, the religion of the One and Only God, the Lord of the Prophet Jesus and the Prophet Muhammad, and all the prophets. This is the truth, even if all the people of the earth dislike it. Look around you; Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world despite the hostility and media misinformation directed against it. (Wake up, for death comes suddenly.). I love Jesus because I am a Muslim.
Any martians or tin foil hats in it? What about Bananas divided by the square root of a bicycle?
