While I am a Queensland Senator, the political battle taking place in Farrer is fascinating.
Usually, a by-election triggered by a resigning party leader is something of a walkover. A safe seat. A perfunctory vote. Little more than a formality and shuffling of candidates into pre-ordained positions of uniparty power.
Farrer is something this country hasn’t seen in a long time.
A battle for conservatism.
With a real choice.
The uniparty stranglehold is weakening, and the people of Farrer have an opportunity to be a part of history.

If One Nation gets up in this by election, the meltdown from the trolls will be epic, can’t wait for the troll tears to flow 😀
Funny how the proud ON candidate was once a candidate for Labor preselection and was all for renewables.
One Nation all the way 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
But the farrer candidate tried to join the “Uni party” (I thought labels were the refuge of scoundrels?) Labor of all parties pro net zero
How long before David Farley realises the contrariness of the PHONies and branches out to be an independent?
Absolutely 💯.. go One Nation for Australia 🇦🇺 🧡
A wonderful man and a great leader
Keep up the amazing work Senator Malcolm Roberts you have been doing for so long now. The time is upon us 💪🏼
Here’s hoping! Our farmers need someone that cares
is gina rinehart paying for this announcement
How does your status as a Sovereign Citizen influence your thinking?
With a candidate that was rejected by the Labor party, says he has a degree that doesn't exist and has a thing for only fans 🤔🤣
💯

Go David Farley for Farrer for One Nation all the way…..
lets hope One Nation can win it.

A world without productive farmland
Jumping onto X & reading this whole post is enlightening & scary
Industrial solar & wind, massive transmission lines & “big batteries” with dishonestly minimal electricity supply are dishonest, cruel, anti-Human & anti-environment

You could have just said "I'm getting paid to lobby against renewables" you didn't need to write all that 🤣
Someone check the Senator Malcolm Roberts, he's been drinking again.
Doesn’t it allow Spain to grow fruit and vegies out of season. Glasshouses allow for controlled temps. It transformed the region from one of Spain's poorest to wealthiest in one generation, generating over 3bn euros in annual turnover.
Someone should seriously go check on him! He clearly having a moment! 🤡
You need to go to Spec Savers Malcolm, this is indoor greenhouses nothing to do with solar and has been going for 20 plus years.
and your point is?
Wait until he see’s Mt Isa. 🤣🤡🤡🤡
The question is, How much food do they grow in these green house compared to the open farm, unprotected from the changing weather and have even noticed how much food is grown in green houses in Australia.
I love his posts and regularly screenshot them & post on here. The pollution caused by the plastic & pesticides is horrendous.
Yeah, you're on the wrong side of this. What's your argument here? Plastic is bad? Greenhouses allow a climate controlled environment to grow fruits and vegetables out of season. Reduce pests and diseases with proper maintenance and controls. This can even be done with integrated pest management programs. Sky scraper/ vertical greenhouses have been trialed in some cities and is a way to replace some office space as work from home becomes more normalised. (This still needs alot of experimentation to get right as aquaponics did when first adapted). Really, check out the Ball notebook vol.1 and 2 if you'd like to know how involved these systems get. You're not going to find many horticulturalists who oppose greenhouses mate.
Looks like highly productive farmland to me. Can't see any solar farms, so, where is the problem?
Everything is scary when you didnt pass highschool
Some interesting AI answers here.
At least it isn’t solar and wind farms
Bizarre post - it is highly productive and intensive vegetable horticulture. It don’t look pretty from the sky though. Note that this region has poor agricultural soils and pretty low rainfall. Is the best use in terms of using productive land.
Feeds us well that
Bowen has come out in publicised. There will be no new oil refineries in Australia. They're gonna keep it exactly how it is so Australia can suffer even more and longer with a smile on his face and the Prime Minister is patting him on the back while he's bending over forward for the UN and isn't he retiring? He's not going for election again.
This is what I found on Google Maos.
Malcolm as always you only tell part of the story. here's a simple google search with some info for you. You'll see it's more productive than any other agricultural area in Spain, is a massive injection to Spain's GDP, largely small freehold and family operations, and pays higher wages to workers. Intensive agriculture has been the most important economic sector of Almería for the last 50 years.[76] Nowadays, greenhouse production, handling and commercialisation of vegetables, and the supply industry of the sector, represent almost 40% of Almería's GDP. Directly, agricultural production accounts for 18.2% of the provincial GDP. In Andalusia, the average contribution is 6.6% and in Spain it is only 2.9%.[77] This situation is the result of a great dynamic model, which can continually incorporate new technologies: using soil sanding, plastic covers, drip irrigation systems, hybrid seeds, soil-less cultivation, irrigation programs, new greenhouse structures, and so on. They all allowed to improve production and increase commercialisation calendars, assuring the profitability and quality of the crops and the competitiveness of the markets.[78] Moreover, Almería's economy has an important exporting function:[79] 75% of production was sold abroad in 2018, with a value of 2,400 million euros.[80] This development is explained by familiar investment, as subsidies have been limited or non-existent. In this sense, the horticultural sector receives the least European aid from the Common Agricultural Policy: 1.9% of total income. This figure is much lower than that received by other sectors such as olive groves (33%) or cereals (53%).[81] The production of this area is based on fair competition with officially a just remuneration of employees, with similar salaries than the ones in the same sector in Europe: 8% higher than Italy and 11% than Belgium.[82] This avoids the social dumping exerted by non-EU countries, like Morocco, with salaries up to 90% lower than those of Almería. However, there is well-documented widespread exploitation of workers from North Africa who work and live in terrible conditions, earning much lower than the minimum wage.[83] From a social point of view, Almería and Granada are an example of family-owned and smallholder agriculture, with small farms and little concentration of land.[84] This social nature generates high equity in the level of income and welfare: social cohesion is produced, and inequality is reduced.[85] Concretely, Almería is made up of 12,500 farms with an average of 2.5 hectares and 30% of familiar labour. The high education levels of the farmers are also significant, which demonstrates an innovative and receptive character towards continuing education: 81.2% of farmers have some type of formal academic training.[84] At the same time, a commercial system based on social economy enterprises has been developed, e.g. as cooperative societies. These companies represent 62% of production and sales.[86] They assure the access to the market in optimal conditions, because they increase its position inside the agri-food supply chain, facilitate financing, technical advice, and incorporation of technology. Moreover, local ties increase environmental sustainability.[87]
Wow, so pretty! 😍

They grow vegetables there that supply the UK, France Germany and Netherlands. It's super efficient because of the plastic that allows it grows year-round. And supplies Europe during freezing conditions when crops don't grow. Senator Malcolm Roberts wtf are you smoking, man?
You confuse me Senator Malcolm Roberts. You post a photo of farming under plastic as if it’s what the environmentalists want, while complaining about renewable energy, which is not in the picture. Are you too incompetent to post coherently, too lazy to pay attention, or smart enough to know you don’t have facts but your voters will back vibes?
Used to be a beautiful forest someday…. weve ruined the planet. Did not hold back on the total destruction of nature and the animal kingdom
That landscape used to be arid, no crops, little vegetation, Almaria's green houses use 6-7 times less water than open field farming, producing millions of tons of fruits and vegetables annually. Treated urban wastewater is used, especially in the Bajo Andarax region., We could learn a lot
The thread on X gives sound data on fuel supply & how it’s going to get worse
Jet fuel is the problem
Hydrocarbon fuels with their high energy density & portability made modern human civilisation - & are essential for civilisation’s continuance

Kinda feels like they don’t want us to travel - kinda like convid 2.0.
Modern civilisation was around long before we worked out how to use fossil fuels.
Malcolm the lizard people have the fuel stockpile
So so we believe Bowen with his 57 ships coming?
The cookers cooker
Knuckle heads anonymous. One notion?
Still enough fuel for the planes spraying the skies though 😒
Yeah definitely credible if it's on X matey 😂🤦
and our telephones used to hang on the wall with a cable. Now we use phones that have batteries and tools that have batteries and we will are moving to cars with batteries. Hydrocarbons will have a need but a lesser need over time. Get with the future.
Wow! Old fuel technology seems so efficient, why would we ever bother with trying to improve on it?
There is more fuel in storage now than there was before the US / Israel started this crisis
So how does Pauline being gifted a shiney new plane going to help the Jet fuel reserves (which the Xpost ends as saying that is the main concern at this point)
They can find the fuel when they want to weaponise the weather
so in February the price difference between unleaded and diesel was about 30c, so why is the price difference now 70-80c per liter. Just an obsevation Albooo might want to explain.
We are being marched forward to the caves.
Funny little man. Hahahaha
greetings Senator! Galaxy Centre and Lisa back on FB!
Ask Donald. He has plenty.
Hence why the government is funding a new jet fuel refinery in SA for ethanol to jet fuel
Fuel supplies are at stable levels. We are caravan's and haven't had an issue. Stock levels are at normal levels with the normal run of tankers on there way..but hey..lets not let the garden gnomes fear mongering get in the way of a good story. And, all this goes to prove is that renewables are our future and the very smartest people are investing in that.
If only there were some way of driving using sun beams for power? 😆 🤣 😂
