The answer to that question is New Zealand citizens is not easy although New Zealand has alot more saying or treaty with alot of Polynesian neighbours, Samoa Fiji Tonga etc. When you apply for pr in NZ its not easy from PR to Citizenship it can take up to 6years. Then most move to Australia for better life and again we have to stay here for 4 years before we are qualified to apply for citizenship. It's not an easy process.

Working in Qld Health when we had imigration as there was a nursing shortage....NZ & England were used by some Philapeanse to access Australia and while the nurse were employed it was an understanding that jobs were given to their partners. Is it true that immigrants with AIDS or other diseases and disabilities are given priority to fast track their visa approval and or citizenship if they can prove their care paid by Australian taxpayers is less than $80,000 per year? And if their care is more than that $80,000 they can nominate family members to take care of the extra expenses? If so, does this mean that Australia is operating on a visa and citizenship scheme with taxpayers bearing the cost of non citizens to take our scarce housing, hospital beds and giving NDIS care to people who don’t belong nor have ever contributed to our country? There is no shortage of sick people in the third world countries, but when did the Australian taxpayers decide that Medicare wasn’t to fund our dental care but instead multitudes of sick people from overseas that never contributed to our society , and won’t.

Please ask for the data on how many visas were refused by the department but were later over turned by the ART, you will be surprised. Why there is such a gap between the department and the ART team? Departments refuses but then ART over turns them, and almost all of them have been successful. This needs to be audited.
