Malcom, when you immigrated to Australia from India, you would have filled in a visa application. If lots of other people also filled in a visa application at the same time, the number of incoming applicants could have outpaced the number of applications that could be processed and be reviewed, thus creating a backlog.

Tax everything that gets exported overseas that comes from under Australian soil at 25%. Have a clause that if it gets refined and used as manufacturing on Australian shores by Australian citizens then those products are exempt from this export tax. Will bring well needed funds in to pay off Australians debt, to help pay emergency services what they are owed and possibly bring Australia back in the manufacturing spotlight.
