The current government has kept net debt broadly around $500+ billion, delivered two surpluses, and reduced the expected near-term borrowing trajectory compared with earlier coalition forecasts. GDP has also risen. Despite people such as yourself trying to talk Australia down we are doing pretty well despite some international and domestic challenges such as housing and we are one of the richest OECD countries.
