Wasn't Cubbie part of the issues with water rights years ago?(amongst others) Choking downstream towns and farms? All those fish dying? Places like Cubbie should never have been allowed to gobble up so much water unchecked in the first place, especially when it had a direct impact on everyone else downstream. What even came of all that? All that work that Helen Dalton and One Nation did to highlight the issues years ago. Last I remember some of these places were told to have updated water meters but hardly any of them installed them and/or didn't report usage anyway? Kinda went quiet after Covid hit.
