Self defence laws and gun licensing laws are two seperate things. Is it bullshit, yes. But at the same time shooting someone, self defence or not, is cause for losing your licence

But these people can do anything they want and avoid punishment.

Would like to get the why from the NSW police. I cannot find a record od his gun licence being revoked.

That post skips the one fact you actually need before getting angry: why was the licence revoked? NSW Police says a revocation notice must state the grounds. A firearms licence can be revoked for several separate reasons, including breaches of firearms law or licence conditions, no longer satisfying the “fit and proper” test, or public-interest grounds. The screenshot gives us none of the actual reason from the notice. It also mixes up two completely different legal questions. Keith Blessing may have acted lawfully in self-defence. Police themselves praised what he did, and NSW law allows reasonable force to defend yourself or another person. That does not automatically mean the Firearms Registry is legally required to leave his firearms licence untouched forever. Firearms licensing is a separate administrative process. And the line about guns being taken “for the protection of criminals” is pure rhetoric. The alleged intruder was charged with two counts of wounding with intent to murder and aggravated break and enter, and was refused bail. That is a strange definition of the system “protecting” him. There’s another rather important detail missing too: NSW law explicitly says personal protection, or protecting another person, is not a genuine reason for possessing a firearm. That rule existed long before this incident. So by all means question the revocation once we know the actual grounds. But “hero three months ago = therefore police cannot legally revoke his licence for any reason” simply isn’t how the law works. If Topher has Keith Blessing’s actual revocation notice, post it. That would tell us what happened. Until then, this is an outrage post with the most important piece of evidence missing.

Well, I know of a friend, who was attacked by 15 sherriffs and 30 cops in the Downing Court Complex in Sydney this year.......months later, ALL THE BODY CAMS have gone missing.........and ALL the court lobby CCTV has gone missing, except one camera which has a poor angle and shows nothing of any use. The NSW government is corrupt beyond belief.......thinks nothing of tampering with evidence and perverting the course of justice. There were luckily independent witnesses to the attack.
