Snippets from Adam Creighton’s powerful & accurate article:
Two decades after the release of Al Gore’s film documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, it has become fun to point out how few of his hysterical claims have materialised. Sea levels have not risen six metres. The snows of Kilimanjaro have not vanished. Polar bear numbers have risen, and no major cities lie underwater
Gore’s impact on the climate change debate has been infamous, and increasingly amusing. But blame for the steady brainwashing of swaths of the population, including schoolchildren, who surveys show are the most fearful, must rest with the wider mainstream media
Far from “following the science”, it turns out 10 of the most important news outlets in Britain and the US have catastrophised the lengthy Assessment Reports produced every few years by hundreds of scientists under the auspices of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
Rigorous new research, published last month by the National Bureau of Economic Research, trawled through more than 116,000 newspaper articles from 10 influential outlets, both right- and left-leaning, and found systematic fearmongering in their reporting of the six major Assessment Reports from 1990 to 2023
“Public summaries of IPCC climate assessments lean toward the more severe end of the technical evidence,” the authors find in their new paper, Divergence in Climate Change Communication
Their conclusion is striking, though not surprising. First, the official Summaries for Policy Makers SPMs are themselves biased. These summaries tend to cherrypick the more extreme forecasts and outcomes contained in the much larger IPCC Assessment Reports
All 195 IPCC member governments – whose bureaucrats have typically swallowed the alarmist narrative – must approve SPMs line by line before they are released to the media. “This makes the public-facing document a politically negotiated artefact rather than a neutral summary of the underlying science (and) because a single delegation (can) block consensus, the wording converges on what the most risk-averse delegation will accept,” the report says, adding the SPM “reweights severity upward” in every one of the six reports

'Scientists' and media will say whatever they're paid to say..
Malcolm, your own article admits the study does NOT claim the science is wrong and does NOT claim evidence is being fabricated. So what exactly are you celebrating here? A paper saying some journalists and policymakers can exaggerate risks is not evidence that climate change isn't real. You've taken a study about communication and tried to turn it into an attack on decades of climate science. That's like finding a sensationalised news story about crime and declaring crime itself is a myth. The article proves media bias exists. It doesn't prove climate science is wrong. Not even the authors claim that.
It seems any discourse on Climate change rapidly descends into a one way screaming match worthy of activist zealotry. It has moved so far away from science, but still many believe the carefully scripted narrative.

I hope before I die, the world, wakes up. Net zero is a scam to make rich people money. Islam is not a religion of peace. And we see our children grow up in a world without social media. It's dangerous.
Lunatics running ths country under the watch of the UN
it comes down to simple theft of taxpayers earnings nothing more than that malcolm
One Nation agrees with the sentiment behind the Competition and Consumer Amendment (Make Price Gouging Illegal) Bill 2024. Coles and Woolworths have morphed from trusted Australian grocery stores into greedy, shareholder-driven machines that have rightfully become the most disliked brands in the country.
While we support the goal of reining them in, we cannot support this specific bill for several reasons:
✔️ Free enterprise is doing what it does best — punishing greed. We see Amazon partnering with Harris Farm to deliver fresh food and independent retailers like IGA and Supabarn are treating customers like they matter.
✔️ We don’t need more poorly worded regulations. What we need is the ACCC and the Labor government to grow a spine and enforce the laws we already have. The supermarkets are already using deceptive "specials" to manipulate prices and the fines they receive are a pittance.
✔️ If we’re going to talk about price gouging, let’s talk about the government. Between $70 cigarette packets, fuel excise, and skyrocketing energy bills, the government is the biggest price gouger of all.
This bill won't help the Aussie family at the checkout.
Instead, it will simply create a goldmine for lawyers. And with their deep pockets, Coles and Woolworths will be the ones who will walk away winning while the customers lose.
One Nation supports the “principle” of stopping corporate greed, however we completely oppose this flawed implementation.
STOP making new, ineffective laws and start enforcing the ones that actually hold these giant corporations to account.

Never under estimate the other guys greed. (Scarface)
This guy gets my vote everyday of the week
One Nation aligned with the big end of town. Says one thong, walks the other.
So you support it but you don't, you know, support it.
So, to be clear, you agree with a ‘principle’, but as usual, will actually do sweet FA about it.
What about labor’s price gouging from the Australian ppl
And when you accept donations from Woolworths Group and Coles, will your tune change?
Paid advertising for amazon?
And when they get caught... they pay a fine to the govt , which does not benefit the community that overpaid.
Did,nt Kerry Packer say it years ago something about getting get of the old laws before bringing in new one,s something to that effect...
It’s a minefield out there in the food market. Were you have market buyers screwing producers and then you have the big brands stepping in to the market deeper with supposed farm contracts or processor contracts for beef and vegetables and milk dairy products. And in all this the farmers end up being the price takers then freight. But then it all goes a bit fuzzy because they start playing volumes and percentages.just take the meat game were a farmer gets $1900 for his steer and then government charges an ever increasing array of charges for nearly nothing in service.now the farmers pay for there stock to be freighted to market. But butcher buys steer along with many others because of orders to fill and because of numbers there freight is somewhat cheaper. But then steer disappears in to the butchers it save the grizzly stuff there but out the other end of the butcher shop comes boxes and boxes of that steer now these boxes have become possibly $9000.worth of meat yes that steer that the farmer feed for 18 months to possibly 36 months and got possibly $4.50 and kg is now $14.66 to $28.99 a kg in the shop in the nearest town to the farmer. BUT then somehow the farmer made enough money to go to Asia for a holiday and he went in to the market and there was his steer for $10.00 kg ☹️✌️
Prices are too high when people stop buying it.
So you actually don’t support the bill is what you’re saying. Coles has actually been prosecuted or are you stuck in the “bubble”. One could argue that one Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party has morphed from a trusted party into a greedy stakeholder driven political party.
Senator Malcolm Roberts So after watching Coles and Woolworth Monopolise the industry in Australia buying up all the corner stores besides IGA being the only true Australian grocery business, cheering on American chains sounds about right?
One nation. On the side of corporates every time. First the gas industry, now retail.
The government has been protecting the supermarket species for years, open the market, allow others to provide real competition.
Both the major parties will never ever do anything to Coles and woolies because they get to many kick backs from them
We think it’s right but won’t do anything? Tough position!
Turn up and vote Muppets... just attend parliament
Drakes are the best!
Seems Coles Woolies didn't give money to One Nation yet.
I assume that ON get donations from the big two. We are not dumb, when you have a duopoly that has full vertical control of the market. There is no competition. Both have been found guilty of deceptive marketing and pricing policies.
Too little too late, sorry folks the horse has bolted.. Should have kicked & screamed a few years back when the writing was on the wall.
Yeah get albo to tax the gas. Watch the value of this country rise & citizens will give 0 fucks about this shit. -we’d also probably stop stealing from Woolworths and Coles too. Being able to afford to live tends to lower theft.
Falling about laughing. “Free enterprise punishes greed.” It seems that you actually believe that. Or you’ve been bought and sold.
During this Queston Time, I asked Minister Watt why Christian refugees are being excluded.
Instead of addressing my question, Minister Watt resorted to the usual Labor tactics: personal attacks.
Our immigration program should be based on protecting our security and supporting those truly in need, rather than outsourcing our sovereignty to the UN or prioritising groups that do not share our values.
The Minister’s refusal to provide a straight answer only proves that this government is more interested in virtue signalling than the safety of the Australian people.

No wonder its called question time...because it's never answer time.
Imagine the day that question time involves actually answering questions?? That will be the definable difference with a ON government
Just answer the question. It was a pretty straightforward question
Answer the question asked, instead of attacking the person and party.
Keep at it Malcolm, Australia is behind you mate
What's your answer going to be if you get asked "why is a man of retirement age still working, when that job could be given to a younger person ? "
Has Murray Twatt ever answered a question properly?
He sounds like Albanese.😂😂😂
Can that windbag answer the question?
Murray watt, only one watt not very bright
Why do we spend money in defence 😂😂😂when they bring them in with open arms
A really good question. Where's the really good answer that should result?
That tie bro, didn’t tie that very well
People hands shake when lying
How come no Labour Party member can actually answer a question???
Keep up the good work Malcolm 🇦🇺
He will never answer he didn’t even put it on notice 🤣
watt should buy shirts that fit him
South Africans do not qualify for refugee status. And, in 2015, the 12,000 extra refugees resettled from Syria and Iraq were almost exclusively Christians.
Malcolm the MAN
Good on you Malcolm,I want to know the answer too
Watt the Twatt.
Can’t wait to see the back of Waddly Watt! 😎
She asked a question how can you tell a good Muslim and as usual it wasn’t answered
That's a question I've been asking myself, thanks Malcolm did they answer or did they take it on notice .....
