During this session with Australia Post, I raised concerns from local outlet operators like Kylie in Agnes Waters, who face increasing operational pressures.
Australia Post confirmed that while they are not actively cutting over-the-counter services, telecommunications companies, government agencies, and banks are driving down physical transactions by raising manual fees, pushing digital channels, or pulling services like Western Union.
Addressing the abrupt closure of the Coleambally Post Office, Australia Post explained it resulted from a licensee walking away without notice. To maintain local parcel, mail, and expanding financial services, they partnered with the town's pharmacy, a co-location model now operating across 82 locations nationwide.
I confirmed that ANZ officially joined Bank@Post on October 1st, bringing the total number of participating financial institutions to 81.
There is a need for physical over-the-counter banking in the bush. One Nation we will establish a People's Bank to provide a full range of banking services to everyday Australians using the Bank@Post system. This will make Post Offices profitable again and improve banking options for all Australians.

Love this idea , I used to go to the post office with my mum many years ago and she could do her banking there, pay her bills and connect with a person not a machine.
Your ongoing diligence and hard work in these inquiries and Estimates hearings are a major contributor to the current success of your party. You should rightfully be proud of what you've achieved. It will give me great joy to watch you assist in shutting down Net zero some day 😊
Malcolm, I see you took your booster seat to work today.
Good Idea!
The people used to own commonwealth bank ,who sold it ?
Go to Nz or Canada and try find a post office that is anything like as good as the ones we have
Bring back Christine Holgate, she did an amazing job
So a state run supermarket is bad, but a state run bank is good?
there is a need for over the counter banking everywhere
Senator Malcolm Roberts
Your doing a fantastic job malconlm
THANK YOU 30,112 TIMES OVER! 30,112 people. That number is incredible. To every single person who has signed, shared the petition, sent it to a friend, talked about it, posted it, encouraged somebody else to sign, or simply refused to stay silent: THANK YOU. This petition belongs to all 30,112 of you. Every signature represents a real person who decided our brumbies deserve to be heard, their welfare deserves scrutiny, and their future matters. What started with one signature has become 30,112 voices standing together. And somewhere out there, I reckon the brumbies would be looking over the fence with those enormous cheeky smiles saying: “30,112?! Not bad, humans. Keep going!” 🐎 This has taken thousands of people sharing, talking, encouraging and standing together. Whether you were signature number 1, number 10,000, number 30,000, or number 30,112 — you are part of this. ❤️ THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. For the brumbies. For their heritage. For their future. For giving them a voice. 30,112 AND STILL GROWING. 🇦🇺🐎 www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/parliamentary-business/petitions/sign-epetition?epetitionId=804&ref=109...

Post office are not profitable because the CEO is getting paid more than the PM.Thats where the profit goes

An afte thought. simply placing these full services in the hands of agencies is NOT THE SAME re service as security : ( by whatever means whether employees and control or time and responsbility regardless of the due diligence of the owners and employees who mostly work to their best to provide a service. ) Why isnt their a mandate that these companies who are making billions in profit annually be required to provide a reliable service? Not two days a week or limited hours? Same with Aust Post.. deliveries three days a week rather than 5 or 6? Many do still send cards and letters, however as rthey keep jacking the price up when they have othersources of packages and income is not done withneed to cover costs. Per capita number cost crunching? Not good enough. Perhaps rural food producers should do same to these city boffins with their food which is rurally produced given they demand the best quality products and services to be at their fingertips??
The Government needs to ensure that Australia Post under refgulaton continues to handle ALL elements of post unlike what was intimiated during a media interview on Skye with the CEO of Aust Post. It is not about older folk, it is about manipulation of citizens to change in accordance with the demands of bureaucrats and companies? Many , even if tecnhologically experienced do nowant their bills delivered via email or some forced subscription to a billing service. Already Optus has demanded a change to some accounts requiring a subscription service for plans and payment only by direct debit., requiring citizens to reveal their debit details and at risk to their security plus to pay in advance?? I raise this with TIO and advised that this was in breach of consumer regulations and was advised that it was not deemed unlawful? What can one do? However I advised I would not be making use of their 5G + system??? When will the minister for Communications get off her backside and instead of creating videoson her phone earn her salary and do something about these changes which are being mooted ... changes that WE DO NOT WANT and are agains our democratic right, and which are in breach of regulation and our constitution?? As for rural citizens , their rights are slowly being eroded as banks close, presumption that they are able to travel many kms to another town to complete their essential tasks and particularly if not technologically literate ( and not only the elderly but also younger who may not be able to afford systems or CHOOSE not to, use their mobile phone which can be subject to compromise, or cannot afford all the bells and whitles to ensure safety in dealing with companies which may not be secure? ( I raise the issue where Origin energy sent a bill via email which was considered professional enough to be possibly accurate but was a scam as never used to obtain by email, plua had just been paid but now no longer with them. However recently a breach of privacy and people's information? Citizens should be able to choose how they pay their bills, and a varietyof options not to be forced to pay as dictated by the company?
An Australian is confirmed dead by the Nepal flash flood and over 40 Australians still missing. The are of the glacier collapse was larger than 60 football fields and was a direct result of global warming. When will the Senator withdraw his view of global warming being a myth? How many lives will it take for the Senator to hear the voices of leading physicists and denounce his views as a conspiracy?
All part of their digital ID push
And where is the money going to come from to operate an uneconomic, inefficient and uncompetitive niche bank?
Just the regional stuff needs fixing. The city dwellers are spoilt for choice

Radical labor politicians are on my list of grubs
Australians' safety must come before the rights of people who chose to join terrorist organisations.
The Albanese Government keeps insisting it gave "zero assistance" to repatriate ISIS-linked individuals. Yet, the evidence shows ministerial meetings, advocacy coordination, passport help, DNA testing, citizenship paperwork and a $100 million-funded NGO quietly managing the logistics.
These women entered declared terrorist zones, joined listed organisations, and in some cases, allegedly participated in the enslavement of Yazidi women -- offences carrying penalties of up to 25 years. Two have been charged. Why not the rest?
One Nation has moved the Protecting Australians from Foreign Terrorist Fighters Bill to stop further returns, including 13 men still in custody overseas. Our bill is constitutional, targeted and designed for one purpose. Keeping Australians Safe.
If Labor won't draw the line on terrorism, One Nation will.

Where will the High Court draw the line- they have the final say on entry. Never go to court if you are not confident of the outcome.
Lets investigate who funds and arms isis and al-Qa'ida. Lets get to the core of the issue. Instead of attacking the effects
But Albo just spoke to the world and openly said “ the ring wing” are the enemy ?? That’s incitement if I ever heard it

I co-signed the Digital ID Repeal Bill alongside Senators Antic, Babet, Canavan, Hanson and Rennick, which was introduced into the Senate earlier today.
